Reviews and Ratings
The Gleneagle Hotel is a fantastic spot, conveniently close to the car park and disabled parking for easy access. The rooms are spacious with a lot of furniture and offer great views with very comfy beds. Everything about the hotel was great, although an upgrade could be beneficial in the future.
Waking up to stunning views of the snowcapped mountains from my 5th-floor room was a breathtaking experience. The modern and spotlessly clean room was a delight, though the dated dining room did not quite match the room's quality. The hotel offers great views but lacks a bit in dining ambiance.
The hotel offers comfortable and quiet rooms, but the morning availability was disappointing. The service was excellent overall, with friendly and attentive staff, although some members lacked friendliness. The location provides an awesome view of McGillycuddy's Reeks, but the entertainment geared towards the elderly may not suit younger guests. The dining experience was mostly positive, with great food and a spread-out dining time. The facilities, including the pool area, were excellent, but the hotel may not be ideal for all age groups.
The hotel had some positives like a great location for our event at the INEC, but there were also notable issues like outdated decor and lack of security measures. The room setup was a bit concerning with exposed pipes and potential fire hazards, but it served our needs well overall. The service, though friendly, had room for improvement. Dining options were satisfactory, but not outstanding.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms offered stunning views of the national park, but the lack of air conditioning made it uncomfortably hot. On the bright side, the hotel's location was ideal for exploring Killarney National Park, although the entertainment seemed geared towards an older crowd.
